About Sue Yen Leo, CPA
Sue Yen Leo has been a certified public accountant serving Southern California for the past 40 years. She formed her own firm in 1985 serving audit and tax clients of all sizes. Her expertise in tax planning as well as her strong knowledge of tax and business law ensure her clients get the biggest refunds and the lowest effective tax rates.
As a JD and Tax Attorney, Sue Yen is an expert in estate tax planning as well as international tax planning. She routinely scopes complex real estate transactions including 1031 exchanges, Opportunity Zone gain deferrals, and family office planning.

Founder
Before immigrating to the United States in 1980, Sue Yen Leo was the first person from her town to be accepted to college, and when she graduated, she taught math at a high school in Taiwan. She passed the CA CPA exam in one seating in 1981, and started work for the CPA firm RBZ right after the exam, where she rapidly rose through the ranks until 1985. During that time she gained experience in real estate tax law.
Ting

Ting joined Sue Yen Leo CPA in 2007, after graduating from the University of California, Riverside with a degree in Economics. She has always been fond of numbers. She majored in economics to explore the vision of the globalized marketplace and expand her expertise. As she gained experience, she wanted to be more successful in the area of accounting and taxation and hone her skills as an accountant, so she pursued an advanced degree by attending the Leventhal School of Accounting at the University of Southern California, and obtained her Master of Business Taxation in 2017. She became a CPA in 2018.
Erlina
CPA
Erlina is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Erlina is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in California since 2008. For small to medium-sized businesses, Erlina has expertise in providing comprehensive accounting services, including individual, corporate, and partnership income tax returns and financial statements preparations including compilations, reviews, and audits.
Erlina is originally from Indonesia, where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, and she came to Los Angeles in 1998 to get her Masters of Science Degree in Information Systems. She speaks English and Indonesian.
Anson
CPA
Anson obtained his Bachelor’s in Accounting from Cal Poly Pomona and received his certification by the State of California in 2007. He joined our firm in 2005 and has years of experience in tax preparation, accounting and auditing services. His honesty, responsiveness and professionalism are qualities many people appreciate. Originally from Hong Kong, he now lives in San Gabriel with his wife, his son and his dog, Woody. In addition to spending time with his family, he loves cooking, traveling and watching his favorite basketball team playing.
